Lodge Reginald Spence No.109
Mumbai, India
Founded on 10.11.1934, Consecrated on 12.01.1935
Under the Warrant of The Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons (AF&AM) of India
and the Jurisdiction of The Regional Grand Lodge of Western India

R.W.Bro. Sir Reginald Spence, Kt. was the R.W. District Grand Master of Bombay and Northern India at the time the Lodge was proposed. He gave his unqualified consent promptly for the formation of the Lodge and gave his sanction for the lodge to be named after him.
He was one of those few most admired by brethren, and his qualities of both cultures and character were well known to all masons, as also was his Masonic Education, and his knowledge of Masonic rituals, rites and landmarks. He inspired and encouraged brethren to be a better personality by imbibing and practicing the virtues and duties taught regularly in Freemasonry.
He was a wine merchant and his business was situated at 16 Bank Street, Fort, Bombay.
He was chosen as a founder member of the Rotary Club of Bombay in 1929 and was appointed Sheriff of Bombay. This indicated he had so dignified his activities that they were recognized, respected and admired, thrusting him into the position of a very eminent and prominent citizen of our City.
The Lodge brethren celebrated the Golden Jubilee of his Masonic career, and sent him on December 1,1960 a telegram, congratulating him for this for this achievement. He remained our Honorary member till the very end.
